Portfolio
Welcome to my portfolio of illustrations! As a wildlife illustrator, my goal is to inspire others to appreciate & connect with the natural world. Through my work, I hope to ignite a sense of wonder & curiosity like my own. Here you can explore a variety of projects, from illustrated books to the pages of my sketchbooks, and if you want to see it all visit my gallery.
From illustrating individual book covers to writing, editing & illustrating books cover to cover, I've worked on a number of projects through my university degree. My earliest project was illustrating Roald Dahl's eerie short story The Landlady in black and white but since then I've been focusing on wildlife books based towards children from butterflies to sea creatures.
Sketching the diversity of wildlife around the world has been filling my recent sketchbooks. I've set myself the challenge to work through all 70 of the animal species we globally have calendar animal awareness days for. Many of these animals are critically endangered like the leopard & pangolin. By sketching this problem I hope to capture their unique characters and raise awareness.
As an illustrator, I can't help but love to explore different styles, materials and techniques though my artwork. Being more experimental with my artwork allows me to grow and develop my style though this can leave my portfolio looking a little all over the place sometimes so in my gallery page rather than organise I've decided to just go with the flow, mixing and matching a range of my illustration work.
